Located in the bustling heart of District 1, Tdx Factory—a historic former ice-making facility—has been thoughtfully reimagined into a vibrant and dynamic hub dedicated to art, design, and creativity. This transformation embodies the innovative spirit of District Eight, blending industrial heritage with contemporary ingenuity. The project serves as a testament to the limitless potential of adaptive reuse, turning a once-abandoned space into a thriving epicenter of cultural expression and collaborative energy.

Steven Baeteman Studio is proud to have played a meaningful role in bringing this extraordinary space to life. In close collaboration with Nu Architects, we contributed to designing key areas that set the tone for the entire venue. Our team focused on crafting the entrance to the showroom, the restrooms, and the F&B area—each space thoughtfully designed to enhance the overall experience for visitors, artists, and collaborators alike. Every detail was carefully curated to ensure seamless functionality while maintaining the vibrant, creative atmosphere that defines Tdx Factory.

This project was not only about revitalizing a building but also about fostering a community that celebrates innovation, diversity, and artistic expression. We are immensely grateful to District Eight for entrusting us with this incredible opportunity. Their bold vision and commitment to transforming this historic site have been truly inspiring. The result is a space that honors its industrial roots while embracing the future—a place where creativity can flourish and meaningful connections can be made.
